POKHARA: With a view to exploring potential new trekking routes for trekkers, preparations have intensified for the Loluphera trek that passes through places like Lomangthang, Lumbini, Phewa and Rara lake areas.According to a committee formed under the coordination of Bishwa Shankar Palikhe, preparations for the trek that is to start from August 17 are in its final leg now. “As a part of our initiative to find alternative trekking routes, we will start the trek from Pokhara’s Phewa lake and make a detour of Dhorpatan, Rara Lake, Lumbini to Mustang’s Lhomanthang,” informed Palikhe, adding that the trek shall last for about one-and-a-half month.Various tourism-related organisations and entrepreneurs are supporting the trek, which could become another great attraction for the trekkers in Nepal after the Annapurna circuit trek will be inaugurated by president Ram Baran Yadav and we’re hopeful all will extend their help in this initiative,” said one of the trek organisers by Skyline Treks.
